The LRA has become a regional problem and a combined effort is needed, says Archbishop Odama of Gulu.
The LRA is a regional problem and the solution calls for a combined effort. Who would know more about this problem than Archbishop John Baptist Odama of Gulu archdiocese in northern Uganda, an area which has suffered from attacks and abductions by the LRA for decades. The problem has become regional as we heard over the past week on our programme with extracts from an interview with Bishop Kussala of Tombura-Yambio diocese in the western Equitoria region of Southern Sudan. But today we look at northern Uganda and the reconciliation process. We learn that prayer has played an important part in all this. We are reminded that most of the LRA were abducted children and we hear a call to pray for conversion of hearts and forgiveness. Firstly I asked Archbishop Odama if there really was peace now in the north of Uganda.
